Lemon Balm – Melissa Officinalis

  • Culinary use

Lemon balm is used to add flavour to both savoury and sweet dishes. Principally used in the production of ice cream, herbal teas and seasonings, lemon balm is also an excellent accompaniment for fish and seafood dishes and is useful in softening the strong taste of lamb and vegetables.

  • Medicinal use

Thanks to its revitalising properties, lemon balm based essential oils are used to prepare anti-cellulite creams and oils for therapeutic massage.

Lemon balm is also used in infusion for the treatment of indigestion, dizziness and nervousness.
