Coriander – Coriandrum Sativum

  • Culinary use

    Dried coriander seeds are used in a variety of dishes ranging from fish, meat, sausages, cured meats, boiled meats, game, pickles and vegetables and are also used in different liqueurs.

  • Medicinal use

    Essential oils made from coriander have several healing properties. Coriander is an excellent antiseptic, antispasmodic, digestive and carminative (reduces flatulence). 

    The juice extracted from the green parts of the coriander plant has an intoxicating effect similar to that caused by an excessive consumption of wine. 

  • Interesting facts

    It’s a green light for anybody suffering from a celiac condition: Coriander is a completely gluten free herb.
