Glacial Mint – Mentha rotundifolia

A perennial herbaceous plant, Peppermint has a broad range of uses in cosmetics, principally due to the refreshing properties of Peppermint essential oils. Peppermint is also used in the kitchen to add flavour to liqueurs, drinks and desserts.

Mojito Mint is a variety of mint that is widely used in Central America, where it is known as “Hierba Buena”. This mint is ideal for the preparation of the famous Mojito long drink; it has a refreshing, energising flavour that makes it perfect, along with other herbs, in exceptional herbal tea infusions.

Moroccan Mint is a perennial herbaceous invasive plant that is easy to grow and highly resistant. The plant has light-green coloured leaves that give off a strong perfume. This variety of mint is an excellent choice for mint teas and fresh drinks and is most commonly used in the preparation of North African green tea.

The Hugo Mint is a perennial herbaceous plant with a particularly delicate taste, ideal for the preparation of the famous “Hugo Cocktail”, the prosecco-based aperitif from the South Tyrol region made with elderflower syrup, soda water and Hugo Mint leaves.

A perennial resistant invasive plant, Chocolate Mint has a perfume and taste that is very similar to that of chocolate.  The plant has small white or reddish-purple flowers and their essence is used in the preparation of drinks and confectionary products.

A perennial herbaceous plant with a bushy growth, Pineapple Mint is characterised by its intense pineapple-like aroma. The leaves are used in the kitchen to make thirst-quenching summer drinks and teas and to add flavour to grilled vegetables or deserts such as ice cream and fruit salads.

Mint is an herb with a very pleasant smell and taste. It is very well known thanks to the Mojito cocktail that is appreciated worldwide. Mint is used successfully in fish based dishes, soups, teas and in the preparation of desserts.

Because of its intense perfume, mint is commonly used in infusions to deal with halitosis and to disinfect the palate.
