Pineapple Sage – Salvia Elegans

  • Culinary use

    This unusual type of sage has a pineapple-like perfume that makes it the ideal ingredient in the preparation of fresh drinks and fruit salads. The younger leaves of pineapple sage are also used to flavour poultry dishes, pork and cheeses.

  • Medicinal use

    Pineapple sage has similar virtues to traditional sage. The only distinct feature compared to the other type of sage is that pineapple sage infusions have curative properties in the treatment of gum problems and acts as a delicate tooth whitener.
